This component refers to the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in conjunction with collaborative software such as Microsoft Teams to enable telemedicine evaluation of patients including holographic telepresence. Typically, AR headsets, e.g. Microsoft HoloLens, would be utilized at the patient site and remote expert site.
This component refers to the use of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) remotely. TelePOCUS is something that can be implemented immediately with existing videoconferencing software, e.g. MS Teams, and a phone- or tablet-based POCUS system through the screen-sharing function.
